Evalina Rose and her little sister Posy Anna are the main characters of a series of children's stories that I am writing. In this blog I will share the final stages of crafting their half scale house--Honeysuckle Cottage--and the miniature stuff that will make up the settings of their stories.

progress on Gwendolyn and Joseph's home

Bella, our cat, feels the need to try out every room in the house.

Annabelle chose the above perfume bottles and corgi pillow from Gillian at Make it Small.  She then  used these items to choose the wallpapers .  The top one is Cottage Rose and the bottom is Fifi and Friends , both are from Itsy Bitsy Mini.

When Annabelle was sick, my mother bought her the puppy in the previous picture.  Using    Wicker Furniture For The Doll's House , by Sheila Smith, Annabelle and I constructed this little dog bed.  Anna did much of the weaving, the braid, her first embroidery and sewed and stuffed the little pillow.

Fifi enjoys the porch.
Gwendolyn tries out her new chair.  She is going to spoil that baby if she doesn't stop holding her!

Have a Wonderful week ,
Lucy Coles

  1. The first picture makes me smile!
    I like the wicker chair.
    Great work!
    Bye Faby

  2. The wicker chair is beautiful. Sweet picture of Gwendolyn and the baby. Lol what is it with cats and dolls houses they seem to love them great picture.
    Hugs Maria

  3. Annabelle did a great job of the dog bed, I love it. I bet Fifi loves it too! Love also your cushion, your fabric printing is excellent. Luckily dollhouse babies rarely ever exhibit spoilt child behaviour so let Grandma cuddle her grandchild all she likes - my Gran could swap boasts with your Grandma about their perfect grandchildren ;))

  4. décidément, les chats (le mien) adorent les maisons miniatures. J'aime beaucoup le fauteuil. Fifi a l'air d'apprécier sa jolie corbeille.

  5. The cat on the house makes me smile!
    I love your wicker chair!

  7. Hi Lucy, too many lovely things to mention - they are all perfect. The wallpapers are a great choice! Everyone looks so comfy in their knitwear. Hugs, Gill x
