progress on Gwendolyn and Joseph's home

Bella, our cat, feels the need to try out every room in the house.

Annabelle chose the above perfume bottles and corgi pillow from Gillian at Make it Small.  She then  used these items to choose the wallpapers .  The top one is Cottage Rose and the bottom is Fifi and Friends , both are from Itsy Bitsy Mini.

When Annabelle was sick, my mother bought her the puppy in the previous picture.  Using    Wicker Furniture For The Doll's House , by Sheila Smith, Annabelle and I constructed this little dog bed.  Anna did much of the weaving, the braid, her first embroidery and sewed and stuffed the little pillow.

Fifi enjoys the porch.

Gwendolyn tries out her new chair.  She is going to spoil that baby if she doesn't stop holding her!

New Pictures of Bella-Mouse

I promised some pictures of Bella-Mouse in her dress, here they are.  I will just mention that she has little pink panties,but for her privacy, I will not show them.  

Here are some pictures of Grandmother with her new unnamed grand daughter.  I know there are a lot of pictures, but she just looks so happy.

Some day soon Grandmother will have her own house.

I have made a change to Honeysuckle Cottage.  The original plan was to have one large room on the top floor, and a kitchen and a living room down stairs.  Well it turns out that it really bothers my seven-year old that there is no bathroom.  I figure that if it bothers her it will bother most children...I plan on using the cottage as a setting for children's stories, so I must not upset the children.  I have added a wall to the upstairs and now have a bathroom.  I forgot to take a picture, but I got this shot while  photographing Grandmother with her new grand daughter.

I have decided to paint the wallpaper in the girl's bed room.  I have also been experimenting with  paintings.  Everything I do is a bit cartoonish, I am not an artist.  But again, this house is meant to be used as illustrations for children's books

I have been trying to make different types of one inch scale roses for Grandmother's summer beach house.  I am using cold porcelain. 

I am also trying for irises.  I will carefully place some yellow flocking  for their beards.

I made a new pair of Robbin parents for my nest...very hard to photograph and probably not  to scale

A Quick Hello

The second thing that I am finishing is the clothing for my Mama-bear--who clearly is a mouse--so Anna and I have named her Bella-Mouse.  She will need a few details before she is done...her coat needs buttons,a collar and pockets, she will also get a basket with tiny berries.  I am planning on finishing her this weekend.  She will be my first giveaway and is 1 1/2 inches tall.

Grand Parents are Finished

Good morning,
     I added a Miniature knitting page for those of you interested in knitting.  Right now it just has a few links, but I plan on adding critiques of shops and fibers.  I would love for other knitters to add information to it :like links, tips and links to their own blogs.
     I got back in touch with IGMA this week and payed my dues, so I am now officially an Artisan again, I received this status in 2001 for needlework.
Here is what I did this week:
I finished the grand parents for a sea-side cottage that Annabelle and I will make this summer.

We have not named them yet, but they will  have two granddaughters who will be visting.

 the grandfather is re-sculpted from a mold.  His clothes were knit on .000,000 needles .  The color work on his sweater is Guttermann's 100/3 silk and the rest of the fibers are from my stash and are not commercially available 

The grandmother is also a re-sculpture from a Doreen Sinnett mold.  Her sweater is done on .000,000 needles with Guttermann's and a cotton thread.

I  do not sell dolls that I have re-worked from other peoples molds.   I have sold dolls made from other peoples molds with full credit to the artist.

      I promised a mini hat tutorial, and that will show up on my tutorial- page.  It is really easy, but it adds a finishing touch to my tiny dolls.
